Pen Hadow - Hart's Fine Dining Evening
East Midlands Networking Group (EMNG) held an event at Prestwold Hall for its members who include businesses such as JLT, Barclays, Hart’s Nottingham, The Nottingham Post, Gleeds, Smith Partnership, Maverick, Mazars, Blusource, Champions (UK) plc and Innes England.
The networking group hosts an array of events throughout the calendar year aimed at bringing members together for food, drink, networking and the opportunity to engage with some of the country’s best motivational speakers.
The event’s motivational speaker came in the form of adventurer Pen Hadow. Pen rose to international fame in 2003 when he became the first person in history to trek solo, unaided and without resupply to the North Geographic Pole. The feat which took 75 days to complete is still yet to be attempted by any other person.
Now a renowned speaker specialising in motivational, keynote, after-dinner and boardroom events, during his speech at Prestwold Hall, Pen inspired the group with his tales from the ice and topics that sparked thought-provoking conversation.
Seasoned host, Pat Murphy, facilitated proceedings. Pat is best known for his critically acclaimed sports writing and BBC broadcasting, and during the evening he quizzed Pen to ensure none of the detail of his amazing feat was missed and encouraged audience engagement.
No EMNG event is complete without some dazzling entertainment. Perfectly complementing this event was the captivating young soprano and crossover vocalist Faith Tucker who stunned audiences with her vocal ability and natural talent.
